An Italian Dream in Peru
In a small Italian town, Rossano and Mildred met and fell in love. Both entrepreneurs, they shared a passion for Italian cuisine and culture. However, the European economic crisis led them to seek new horizons.
A New Beginning in Peru
Rossano and Mildred arrived in Chanchamayo, Peru, with a clear vision: to explore the world of coffee. They built their home and visited Mildred’s coffee farm, where they began immersing themselves in production.
The First Location in Chanchamayo
After three years of cultivation, they harvested their first coffee. Combining their skills, they opened Valentini, their first restaurant, in Chanchamayo’s main square, introducing the Italian concept of a cafe and pizzeria.
Arrival in Lima
Tourists visiting Chanchamayo encouraged them to move to Lima. Taking advantage of the rainy season in La Merced, they relocated to Lima and opened their first location in Miraflores, on Recavarren Street. Initially, it was a pizzeria.
Expansion and Evolution
They opened another location on Pardo Avenue, which operated as a café. They also explored Punta Hermosa but found it wasn’t the right fit.
The Pandemic and Reinvention
The pandemic forced them to close their 200 m² restaurant. Using their available resources, they renovated their pizzeria and rebranded the business.
Valentini Caffé in Miraflores
In January, Valentini Caffé was born with a fresh concept in Miraflores.
International Expansion and Franchises
In May, their adventure in Italy began, opening a location in Marche Recanati. In August, they launched a second location in Lima and their first franchise in Surco.
Rossano and Mildred preserve Italian traditions while adapting them to Peru, and at the same time, bring Peruvian culture to Italy. This cultural exchange allows them to create meaningful connections with their customers.
With their own production center, Valentini Caffé ensures the quality of its artisanal products. The story of Rossano and Mildred is one of passion, innovation, and perseverance.
